Workshops on Gender Mainstreaming and Greening in E-Commerce for E-Commerce Community: The Digital Business Institute (DBI), in collaboration with the Partnership for e-Commerce Initiatives (PeCI), recently organized a series of impactful workshops focusing on two vital themes for modern businesses: gender mainstreaming and greening in e-commerce. These workshops aimed to empower e-commerce stakeholders with strategies to promote inclusivity and sustainability, addressing critical challenges in today’s digital marketplace.
The gender mainstreaming workshop explored how businesses can create more equitable environments by integrating gender-sensitive policies and practices into their operations. It highlighted actionable steps to promote diversity, ensuring that both women and men have equal opportunities to participate and thrive in the e-commerce ecosystem.
The greening in E-Commerce session emphasized sustainability, teaching participants how to adopt eco-friendly practices within their business models. The workshop covered topics such as reducing carbon footprints in supply chains, utilizing sustainable packaging, and embracing circular economy principles.
In addition to hosting these workshops, DBI unveiled its DBI Trust Seal, a badge of credibility awarded to businesses following a comprehensive self-assessment process. The Trust Seal signals to customers and partners that a business upholds high standards of transparency, trustworthiness, and ethical practices. By obtaining this seal, businesses not only gain a competitive edge but also foster greater confidence among their stakeholders.
Through initiatives like these, DBI continues to demonstrate its commitment to shaping a more inclusive, sustainable, and trustworthy digital economy.
